Why We Stand Out in the Landscaping Industry

Why We Stand Out in the Landscaping Industry

At Watt Hardscapes & Water Features, our distinction as a Belgard Authorized Contractor sets us apart in landscaping. Achieving this certification is a rigorous process, requiring a recommendation from a Belgard Authorized Dealer or Sales Rep, staff certification by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) and the National Concrete Masonry Association/Segmented Retaining Wall (NCMA/SRW), as well as stringent installation standards verified through project inspections.Additionally, we maintain comprehensive insurance and complete the Techniseal Certified Applicator course to ensure the highest quality in hardscaping, patios, retaining walls, curb and block edging, outdoor fire features, and water features. Our dedication to excellence is evident as we are among Iowa's 22 select landscaping companies with this prestigious Belgard certification.

Decades of Expertise

Our expertise in hardscaping and outdoor beautification is backed by years of experience and certifications from ICPI and NCMA for installing pavers and walls.

ICPI Certification Requirements

Achieving ICPI certification is a significant accomplishment, requiring completion of several steps:

  1. Course Attendance: Attend an ICPI concrete paver installer course.
  2. Exam Success: Achieve a passing score of 75% or higher on the exam.
  3. Experience Documentation: Complete and submit an application for certification, documenting required installation experience of at least 5 projects and 10,000 sq. ft.

Upon successful completion of the course and exam, a record of completion is issued, valid for two years. ICPI certified installers must earn 8 continuing education hours during each two-year term to renew certification.
